SAFETY TRAINING POLICY
TREE TECH ENTERPRISES LTD. strives to provide the highest of quality services and product while maintaining a safe and healthy workplace. To accomplish this goal we must ensure our workers are adequately trained and qualified.
TREE TECH ENTERPRISES LTD. will provide and employees must participate in all safety and job related training that is necessary to minimize loss of human and physical resources of the company.
The company will provide and ensure that all employees receive the following training:
- Safety orientation the first day of employment
- Task and Trade Specific Training (on the Job)
- WHMIS training
- First aid training
- Specialized Safety and related training
- Environmental Protection
It is the responsibility of the Supervisor to ensure the training requirements are met, documented and the necessary information given to the Human Resources department.
ORIENTATIONS Every employee and subcontractor, who is new to a job or worksite, will receive a safety orientation. The orientation will take place before the worker commenced a new job. A second orientation will take place later to test and re-enforce the individual’s knowledge of our safety program.
Orientations will include but not limit to:
- Health and Safety Policies
- Hazard Assessments / Work site specific hazards
- Controls and Safe Work Procedures
- General Safety Rules
- Employer/Worker Responsibilities
- Personal Protective Equipment
- Emergency Response Procedures
- Enforcement Policy
- Right to Know and Refuse
- Reporting Obligations for Accidents/Unsafe Acts/ Health Concerns
- Working Alone
